An autobiography of a bit

Hi friends, I am a bit. I am the smallest unit of computer memory. All your digital data is made up of me.

Your music, photos, email, movies. Everything which a computer can hold is made up of me. Sometimes I feel like, I am the god. (Kabhi-kabhi apun sochta hai ki, apunich Bhagwan hai).
Just kidding 😉
I have two moods, sometimes I am ON and sometimes I am OFF. I am like your light bulb but sadly, I don’t glow 😞. Could you please suggest to me a good face glowing cream 😂😂?
Sometimes people 👨 ya real people like you, write about my faces as “1” and “0”. I am ok with it anyway. You got my feeling, that’s enough for me.
You must be wondering how this two-faced creature, actually an army of two-faced creatures can become anything on my computer.
Ya, I will tell you. This time I got your feeling right? Then give me a high-five 🙌. That’s called real friends.
So my strong bonding with my fellow Bits and good teamwork helps us to take any form of your digital data.
But how 😕??? Yes, I got you.
We work in a team of 8 like you play cricket in a team of 11. Our team is called Byte. This name was given to us by Werner Buchholz
Since each one of us can have two possible values so our 1 team that is a group of 8 Bit can have 2^8 or 256 values (0-255) at any given time.
For storing any information in the computer first that information is needed to be converted into the binary. If information is in the printable format then ASCII coding is used.
For images and movies, information is stored in the form of pixel and for each pixel 3 of our teams are needed means 3 bytes. Each pixel is made up of three colors, each color needs one team to help them.
Actually, we don’t care about colors it’s for you humans, but we care about you so, we will store anything for you.
